"Retribution" was created in August 2003. I've actually read the book in summer 2002, but didn't think of applying for the fanlisting before this summer. The name came from the fact that the Count of Monte Cristo did what he did because of retribution. My sister helped me with the name, 'cause I'm terrible at coming up with names for my websites (one of them is simply called "The Fight Club fanlisting" after the book and movie. How original! ^_^). Well, it's better than simply "the count of monte cristo fanlisting", I think. This layout features the cover art of the Penguin Classics edition of Count of Monte Cristo (I think they have different editions, but the art of this one was prettiest). The layout graphics were completed with Jasc Paintshop Pro 7 and Adobe Photoshop 7. All coding was done by hand with Notepad. Fonts used in graphics are "Thryomanes" and "04b24", the block text is Trebuchet MS. All content and graphics are © 2003, to Val, that is me, unless otherwise stated. The cover art belongs to its respective owner. No copyright infringment intended. I think the copyright of the novel has long since expired, but I could be wrong.
